Sunday October 16th - Westside Hunger Walk

It's time to lace up your running shoes! After two years of being virtual, the Westside Food Bank's 32nd Annual 5K Hunger Walk is now back in person!

Westside for Everyone is forming a walking team to support food security in our community. You can join us on Oct. 16 at Santa Monica's Ocean View Park on 2701 Barnard Way along the Ocean Front Walk or virtually to help raise money.

The Westside Food Bank is trying to raise more than $125,000 to help provide nutritious food to people in need in west Los Angeles County. Every $1 donated during the event will provide four meals for the community!

  • Click here to register for the walk - make sure to join the Westside for Everyone team in your registration.

  • Can’t make it but want to support? You can donate by clicking here or text "WSFBHUNGER" to 50155 to contribute to the overall goal.

Volunteer Opportunity: Signature Gathering with ClimateResolve!

Join environmental neighbors to gather signatures in support of two important ballot initiatives, United to House LA and Healthy Streets LA, on Saturday, April 9th.

More details and sign up here.

About Healthy Streets LA

The ballot measure will require the City of Los Angeles to implement its Mobility Plan 2035 whenever the City repaves or otherwise works on a street. Doing so will save money, reduce traffic, make the streets safer, and give people more options to get around town, helping to clean our air.

About United to House LA

This citizen’s led measure was written by LA’s not-for-profit homelessness and housing experts — not politicians — because they know what it takes to actually get tens of thousands of people off the streets and help hundreds of thousands of people keep their homes. As proposed, the measure would create the Los Angeles Program to Prevent Homelessness and Fund Affordable Housing, which funds a robust set of housing policies for the City of LA.
